A Fuggly AF Collab Between Platt Park and Fermly

Platt Park Brewing Company, known for creative brews and neighborhood vibe, was the ideal place to explore with an underappreciated hop: Fuggle! In a British Golden style, Fermly and Platt Park were able to produce a beer that showcases this underappreciated and charming hop found to be Fuggly AF.

Fuggly AF opens with a light Continental hop aroma that is refreshing and inviting. The golden straw color is to style, if edging towards an English pale with the surprising assertive bitterness right at the start that mellows to a clean finish. The Fuggle hops bring a delicate earthiness and subtle spiciness, enhancing the Continental hop characteristics without overpowering the malt flavors.

Looking for more than beer? Platt Park Brewing has a full menu, so here are some recommendations for your experience:

  • BBQ Porky Sando - The tangy BBQ sauce complements the initial bitterness and balanced sweetness in Fuggly AF.

  • Flying Buffalo Sano - Spicy buffalo chicken matches the beer’s refreshing profile, creating a satisfying contract.

  • French Connection - The brie and fig jam amplify the light malty undertones.

  • Corned Beef Melt - The rick flavors harmonize with the Continantal hops, rounding out the experience nicely.

Try it this coming Friday at the Platt Park Brewing taproom!
